Heaven’s Newest Angel

It’s with a heavy heart that I must share with you that God called Stephanie home this past Sunday afternoon. She was surrounded by her family and passed peacefully. No funeral arrangements have been made at this time. We ask that you pray for her family, friends, and anyone who knew her that they have faith to accept God’s will and peace and comfort in this difficult time. Thank you.

Additionally, if you have a photo of yourself in one of Stephanie’s Fighter shirts from https://www.bonfire.com/stephanie-campaign/ please e-mail it to slaurenweis@gmail.com. Please include your name, and make the subject “Fighter Shirt”.  If there is a story or memory you would like to share with her family, please also email that and include the subject line “Story of Stephanie”.

  1. No one knows all of the people that she inspired to start practicing their faith again, grow stronger in their faith or to go from not believing in God to believing. There was a purpose for the world knowing about Stephanie and her journey. God obviously knew that Stephanie would shout to the world her love of Christ and her faith. What an amazing person she is. You guys will be in my prayers.

  3. With all our sympathy…Michael, we are terribly sorry for your loss. The Lord decided she was mission complete, having spread more of his Love and witness in the last couple months than most do in a lifetime. I can’t begin to imagine you and Sarah’s sorrow and pain, but know that you have an angel watching over you and many people praying for you. Please don’t hesitate to ask if there is anything we can do to help. -Matt and Sarah Babcock

  17. I am so sorry for your loss. Stephanie was a wonderful, strong young woman with a faith that would not stop! It was inspiring to read her blog. I did not know Stephanie before but since my husband had Glioblastoma and lost his battle just 5-1/2 weeks after we noticed that anything was wrong, a friend told me about Stephanie and I began reading her blog. I am so glad that I did. And so sorry that her fight is now over. She will never be forgotten and she will make a wonderful angel…

I wish to extend my sincere condolences to you and your family, I do personally know that this disease is one that is extremely hard to fight, But she was such a fighter and you were very fortunate to have had her in your life. My own sister fought this same battle and was 49 when she passed and I couldn’t have been prouder of her. She like Stephanie we’re so courageous to try and fight , I pray that God gives you the strength and endurance to cope with the loss of your beloved Stephanie.

The name of the song is “Come to Jesus” by Chris Rice, I believe. Praying for peace and comfort for your family.
